CLIMB TO WAYNAPICCHU
Waynapicchu is the “young mountain that you see at all
pictures of Machu Picchu, likewise from here are taken
photos of great angles.
This mountain houses important archaeological sites
related with the city, such as:
The access path. Which is very steep and narrow stair
way, its construction has to be dangerous, includes
steep steps carved into the alive rock.
The Chair of the Inca: It is a rock carved on the same
crown of the mountain. On clear days iS possible to see
the principal sacred Summits like the Salkantay, which
is aligned with the major Mountain Machu Picchu and this
one.
The Temple of the Moon: Through other road that goes to
the back of the mountain and leads to one of the most
remarkable complex of underground constructions in the
region, stone blocks had been carved to fit exactly with
the irregular contours of the large rock that serve as
roof. Could have funeral uses.
Climb the summit takes about 1:30 minutes, and explore
all around 4 hours total.
