1º day. Bike down dirt road.
We bring you to Abra Malaga, at 4,400
m.a.s.l. = 14,432 f. On 3 hrs trip; You can imaging the
kind of pictures even if fogs. From that high, ready
with our front suspension bikes and gear, we start
slowly to warm up but then. Opened eyes we roll or run
on the road down hill for 64 Km. 5 hours or more, to
the Village of Santa Maria, at 1430 m.a.s.l. or 4690fts.
Huff¡¡¡ but Never the less. the drastic
change of microclimates and… muscles will be …thirty.
This day is excellent, because: it is
9,472 f.of down hill, 5 hours of speediness, wind, cold
and hot air, streams to cross and mosquitoes passing
through. Full time of experience on the Andes of Perú.
Overnight in Santa Maria with fresh
fruits, cold drinks, hot water and comfortable home.
2º DAY : Trekking time,
We start early, it’s a long day, but you
wont like to finish. Because you will hear and see
wonderful species of birds, fruit plantations, Streams;
proper of one of richest jungles of the earth, the
Amazon. We are at the beginnings.
Every thing is fun because we walk up and
down hill, within the cloud forest, steep gorges aside.
After 8 hrs. including lunch time in Kellomayo., we
arrive to Cocamasana hot spring. Amazing place with
pools of crystal hot water, perfect to chill out,
massages or recover liquids.
Camping in Santa Teresa that offers
facilities like local markets, phone call centers, bar,
etc. Weather is tropical. 28ºc. 1900 m.a.s.l. (6,232
f.).
3º DAY :
Adrenaline time
Not so early as before, after
breakfast crossing the Urubamba River, considered a
principal tributary of the Amazons river basin; then, an
easy and hot path to the power plant of Machu Picchu,
looking on the way different sceneries.
Ones on the hydroelectric power plan,
we'll have lunch and rest. later on, two more hours
within hot weather which get you sweat till Aguas
Calientes or Machu Picchu Town. Over there you will have
diner and a good hostel to rest and meditate for the
next day. Huhuau¡¡ you are almost there
4º DAY The Big Price.
Early, trekking 1:1/2 hours up Spiritual
visit to Machu Picchu or bus. We would like to climb the
Wayna Picchu Mountain we got the correct ticket. The sun
rises and is beautiful from every where; we´ll have a
guided tour to know the more striking enclosures,
temples and ritual places for 2 hrs. And free time to
explore by your self or chill out in the snack place.
Then, back to Cusco by train or Car.
